DUCK SAUCE "Barbra Streisand" (2010) vs Boney M. "Gotta Go Home" (1979)

The track "Barbra Streisand" by DJ-project DUCK SAUCE (Armand Van Helden + A-Trak and Duck Sauce) quickly broke into the third position of the British single chart. This is the most successful debut of the last week.
A few days ago we reported that the rather obsessive "Barbra Streisand" has already become a hit in different countries: N32 in Holland, N27 in Ireland, N12 in Australia, N16 in New Zealand, N1 in Belgium. Now the melody has reached the top of the charts in England (in WORLD SINGLES TOP40 the song is on the 25th position).
True, not all young regulars of discos and fashionable parties dancing to "Barbra" are aware that this "innovative" track is completely based on samples of Boney M.'s hit "Gotta Go Home" (1979).
In a recent interview, members of the DUCK SAUCE admitted that the success of the single was actually due to the "insanely catchy" melody of the Frank Farian project. To the question "Why did you call your version "Barbra Streisand?"" the answer was: "We are both fans of Boney M. and actress Streisand. Therefore, we decided to combine our love for them in one song."
Well, perhaps now the success of "Barbra" will raise the stakes of the original record. Therefore, it is time for Frank Farian and Sony Music to think about releasing their alternative version of the 30-year-old hit. This must be done as quickly as possible, because the current show business does not forgive too long discussions.
However, what could be better than the original version of Boney M.? For fans of the band, most likely, the best gift would be a special release of the single "Gotta Go Home" in the original editions, including the maxi version. It would also be nice to have a remastered video. But the new "youth" remix can only be added as a bonus.

DUCK SAUCE (by Armand Van Helden + A-Trak and Duck Sauce)

Boney M. "Gotta Go Home" (1979).
